It's another to have a 1300+ HP 20~ armor 25~ damage deatch mech on my ship that disables warp and farms me. It's one thing to have a death ship supported by a anti warp.
Having a stressful time is different from this though, I shouldn't have Bounty hunters covering 2-3 times my jump range and slapping me for doing a little bit of piracy. i ran into one the last time i played, but didn't have any trouble, but it maybe the fact that i had already upgraded my roland, so it was relativily beefy.ītw Nebulas naturally block long range comms, so you can use them for pirating when you have not found a Block Long Range Comms program yet.
a long range comms warning or something.īut now you know how to prevent the bounty hunters :) That means in your next run you won't have an issue with them again.ītw Nebulas naturally block long range comms, so you can use them for pirating when you have not found a Block Long Range Comms program yet. But I agree that the game should be more transparent about why Bounty Hunters appear. It is punishing, but since it can easily be prevented, for me this is not a game-play problem.Īlso, the Hunters normally are not a challenge anymore after just a few crew levels (and a few gun upgrades). When I make mistakes like starting a war with a faction in other rogue-like games, I also will either die horribly or have a very stressful time. So it sort of is part of the game concept i guess. Originally posted by obvious:The game IS partly rogue-like, though. Intrepid, the hunters themselves aren't bad but when they show up 2+ at a time in a system with 3-4 drones that ignore their ships and come for me it's a pain.Įspecially considering that their guns generally do 25+ damage a shot and my points are all in things that are actually useful for running a ship instead of not dying instantly. i have been using the roland, and didn't have too much trouble fighting a bounty hunter. starting ship? do you mean the academy ships? i haven't played the academy, so i don't know what ship you're using. if you are dealing with bounty hunters, order your AI to defend the ship with the commands.

Can't choke him because bot, can't trade ships with him like some cool action movie because bot ship, can't do or make anything fun of it because he's literally just a robot with ship amounts of HP and armor. Sick of getting bogged down in systems with 3-4 drones because the bounty hunters installed magic spacial anchor hacks in their bodies. If his ship dies I should be allowed to warp again. This is my first time playing in 3-4 months, I launch and anything "fun" I try to do is immediately punished with a 1300 HP god that takes 2 HP from my 25 damage gun and disables warp. A game that was incomplete or never officially released will not be included in this list.Originally posted by rancher3000:what ship are you using?
